Way to go Cards

I just wanted to take the time to congratulate the Arizona Cardinals on a fantastic season. They have obviously exceeded all expectations. I doubt you can find a single person, outside of Arizona, that picked them to go to the Super Bowl this season. Kurt Warner has cemented his place in the Hall of Fame with this season. They certainly would not have gotten there with Matt Leinart leading the way. It takes a true leader like Kurt Warner to get a team over the top.

Having said that, the Cardinals had better win this Super Bowl. I think this will be Kurt Warner's last chance to win a Super Bowl. This will probably be the Cardnials' last chance to win a Super Bowl in quite some time too. They need to look at the '06 Saints to understand this.

The Saints had never sniffed the Super Bowl before that NFC Championship game. My dad, a Saints fan from the beginning, was extremely excited about that game. Heck, I was excited about it too. The Saints were running the ball very well and grinding teams out. But Sean Peyton had to try and get fancy to beat the Bears. He threw the ball way too much and did not run it enough. They lost the game and any hope of ever reaching the Super Bowl.

The Cardinals must capitalize on this opportunity. This is their big chance. Go out there and shock the (football) world!

T - Time to Leave

So the Cowboys are thinking about getting rid of a major problem. Well, that's the word on the street at least. For some reason Jerry Jones likes TO though. He is the one man, TO, that the saying "I'd rather lose without him, than win with him" is tailored for. But I don't know that Jerry Jones has ever heard that phrase before. While the Cowboys may end up getting rid of their problem, it won't happen easily.

I think it will take a lot of kicking and screaming to get that waste of space out of Dallas. Don't get me wrong, I loathe the Cowboys. I'd love to see them replicate the Lions' 0-16 season for the next decade and a half. But even I think they need to get rid of TO. There's no reason to put that entire team through the wringer because you, Jerry Jones, think he can do some good. Clearly the man is not the answer to any of your problems.

Nobody can argue TO's skills when he's in the open field. He's very big, very fast, and you usually won't catch him if he gets behind you. The man has a knack for getting open. Obviously there are some gripes about how he plays. Braylon Edwards is the only receiver that drops more passes than TO. It also looked like TO was quitting on some of his routes in the latter stages of the season.

So the Cowboys have to make a decision. If Jerry Jones really cares about his franchise and their subsequent successes, he'll cut TO loose. Let him go and let him poison another team's locker room. That is the one absolute when it comes to TO; he is going to kill whatever team he happens to play for. TO is all about TO. He claims to be about the team, but we all know he's not. No team player in history has every whined because he didn't get the ball instead of the tight end.

Dallas, I hate you, but you need to cut that ego-maniac loose. If not for the team's sake, do it for the fans. Your fans are loyal and deserve much better.
